The Maasai

Origins / Location : Nile Valley (near present-day South Sudan) and migrated southward into Kenya and Tanzania ( 15th century.) Expanded across the fertile lands of the Great Rift Valley.

Names : Divided into around 22 sub-tribes, or "iloshon" (nations). Including groups like the Keekonyokie, Purko, Matapato, and Samburu.

Languages : Maa

Religion : Monotheistic system centered on the worship of a single deity called Engai (or Enkai/Nkai),
